Are you a Jetsetter? If not, there are some basic travel items that are a necessity, and you don’t have to search very hard to find them. All of these I have purchased for myself, family and friends, and they have proven to be useful. Not fancy. Useful.

  1. Hotel Room Flashlights.

These are a must when you’re in a strange hotel room and don’t know the layout. The last thing you want is to run into a bed post in the middle of night and break a leg.

  1. Neck Pillows.

I’ve seen plenty of passengers in first class carry this, but they really do help on a plane, or in a car, or bus. You don’t need to have neck pain to use it. They simply support your upper body (head, arms, shoulders).

  1. Pill Organizer.

I keep mine in my travel drawer and refill when I get home from every trip so I’m good to go.

  1. Passport Holder.

Passports are valid for 10 years so keep yours in a holder so it’s handy and easy to find. They come in every color under the sun so you can easily find them in your bag.

  1. Travel Wallet.

This is different from your everyday wallet. This is a document organizer and is truly a must for travel. Throw in a vaccine card protector to be COVID compliant.

  1. Air Tags.

With so much delay in flights and lost luggage, you can’t go wrong with a GPS tracker for your luggage. It maps to its exact location.

  1. Luggage Tags.

I like to laminate them for people with their name and phone number, but I also include a unique identity such as a colored ribbon. Since most luggage is black, make yours easy to find.

  1. COVID Travel Kit.

It’s not a bad idea to carry a kit but just make sure it comes with masks, hand sanitizer, and wipes so you’re ready for your flight.

  1. Luxury Sleep Mask.

They come in all shapes and sizes and are ideal for blocking out light. Throw in some earplugs and the flight can be manageable.
