  1. Double Lock Your Door.

Even when you’re not sleeping.

  1. Wash Your Hands.

We learned this at five and during COVID. Keep going.

  1. Unpack on a Luggage Rack.

If there isn’t one, place a towel on the bed to protect your bedding.

  1. Sanitize Your Room.

Carry alcohol wipes to wipe down high traffic areas and don’t forget remotes,, computers, phone, light switches, and the toilet handle.

  1. Unplug Alarm Clock.

You don’t want it going off at random hours.

  1. Charge Electronics.

Better safe and ready at a moment’s notice.

  1. Lock Up Valuables + Pills.

Use a familiar password so you don’t forget.

  1. Plan Your Escape Route.

Are you close to the stairs or an elevator? Figure it out when you get to your room.

  1. Jettison Decorative Bed Items.

They can’t be washed which means they’re used. I hide them in the closet.
