Here are some tips for making a family friendly trip: temperatures are soaring and so might tempers. Keep them in check.
1. Ground Rules.
Establish these when you arrive, not mid-week.
2. Electronics- Stand Down.
There’s a beach, sand, and sun. Who needs an iPhone, at least on the beach.
3. Shared Homes.
You may not be used to roommates, but a shared home means just that. Clean all common areas such as the living area and kitchen after using them.
4. Respect Noise.
People may be sleeping at different times, so be respectful of bedtimes and noise. This is a good time for headphones.
5. Clean Up Required.
If you make a mess, clean it up.
6. Guests.
If you invite them into the house, let the group know as a courtesy.
7. Cover Up.
Bathing suits required. It’s one thing if it’s your home but when there are other guests arounds, be sure to cover up. It’s easy with a beach cover up.
8. Flip Flops or Formal Wear?
Flip flops. The beach is casual so leave the heels at home.
9. To Borrow or Not To Borrow?
Ask before taking anything from anyone.
10. Pets.
If you have one, keep them in check.
